Meet INSAAN
insaan/إنسان [in·SAHN]: (noun) A human being or person
INSAAN is a band first born out of friendship. The first four members; Cait (rhythm guitar), Anam (lead vocals), Dev (drums), and Aarush (bass); crossed paths at Green Hope High school in North Carolina. After winning the school's 2024 talent show, they decided to form a band. Mathiew (lead guitar), Dev's friend from UNC Chapel Hill, joined in early 2026.
The name INSAAN comes from the word for "human" in Urdu, Arabic, and Hindi. That, combined with the band's hourglass logo, INSAAN is a reminder to do what you love and to make the most of every moment.
Currently, INSAAN is focused on spreading their music, such as writing and performing. Through a mix of different content, the band is steadily growing its presence and connecting with the community around North Carolina.
