Meet INSAAN
insaan/إنسان [in·SAHN]: (noun) A human being or person
INSAAN is a band born out of friendship, creativity, and a shared love for music. The initial four members; Cait, Anam, Dev, and Aarush; first crossed paths at Green Hope High school in Wake County, NC. Brought together by participating in their school's 2024 talent show, their winning performance sparked something bigger, and they decided to form a band. In early 2026, Dev's friend Mathiew joined as the lead guitarist.
The name INSAAN comes from the word for "human" in Urdu, Arabic, and Hindi. The band's hourglass logo represents the drive to pursue passion, so it's important to do what you love to make the most of every moment. INSAAN serves as a constant reminder to embrace that life is temporary.
Currently, INSAAN is focused on spreading their music, such as writing and performing. Through a mix of different content, the band is steadily growing its following and connecting with the community.
Looking ahead, INSAAN is working on the release of their first single, and optimistically planning their first album.
