Meet INSAAN
insaan/إنسان [in·SAHN]: (noun) A human being or person
INSAAN is a band born out of friendship, creativity, and a shared love for music. The first four members; Cait, Anam, Dev, and Aarush; crossed paths at Green Hope High school in North Carolina. After winning the school's 2024 talent show, they decided to form a band. Mathiew, Dev's friend from UNC Chapel Hill (and now lead guitarist), joined in early 2026.
The name INSAAN comes from the word for "human" in Urdu, Arabic, and Hindi. Combined with the band's hourglass logo which embraces transience, INSAAN is a reminder to do what you love and to make the most of every moment.
Currently, INSAAN is focused on spreading their music, such as writing and performing. Through a mix of different content, the band is steadily growing its following and connecting with the community.
